Beacon Alpaca Farm is my lifelong dream which I was lucky enough to start in October 2009 with a handful of alpacas and very little else. A labour of love, the farm has grown along with our now 46 strong herd of alpacas with a few additions of ponies, chickens and of course my devoted dogs Isla and Mabel.

It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to stay so I wanted to be able to share this stunning and healing location with guests.Whether you just want to soak up the tranquility or join in with what’s going on at the farm there is something here for everyone if you enjoy the countryside and being near animals.

For the past 10 years I have featured on “The Yorkshire Vet’ tv programme on channel 5 which has been great fun and brought lots of people here from all over the globe.   

Since establishing the stud with help from sister Liz, I have grown a thriving herd of award‑winning huacaya alpacas, actively involved in breeding, fleece production, and public engagement. Visitors adore the tranquil farm atmosphere, gentle walks through the Hambleton Hills, and the chance to meet and learn about the animals up close. 

Beacon Farm is situated in a Dark Sky Area so stargazers can see many more planets and stars at night than in Towns and Cities.I will still be living on the farm in my little tourer caravan until I can build a second cabin for my forever home in the next couple of years.
